जैसे पहाड़ों पे उतरी कुनमुनी धूप
झांकती तो थी मेरे आँगन
पर मैं समझ न सका
वो प्यार की आंख-मिचोली है
या सुलगते सूरज से पिधलती सर्दियों की धूप
सर्दियों के दिन भी कितनी जल्दी ढल जाते हैं
अभी पहाड़ी से निकले नहीं
की उतर गए देवदार की लंबी कतारों के पीछे
मौसम की सरसराहट के साथ धूप की तपिश जिस्म गरमाने लगी
जंगली गुलाब की झाड़ी मासूम कलियों से खिलने लगी
कायनात प्यार की खुशबू से महकने लगी
फिर अचानक वक़्त की करवट
और बढ़ने लगे पहरे, हवाओं के
तेज आंधी ने आसमान को अंधेरे की चादर तले ढक दिया
कई दिनों धूप मेरे आँगन नहीं उतरी
धीरे धीरे वक्त गुज़रा ...
सर्दियों के दिन फिर लौट के आने लगे
गुलाबी धूप भी पहाड़ों पे इतराने लगी
पर कोने में लगी उस जंगली गुलाब की कांटे-दार झाड़ी में
अब फूल खिलने बंद हो गए थे
सोचता हूँ प्रेम मौसम के साथ क्यों नहीं चलता ...
